Summer at Seabury
Summer camps at Seabury offer opportunities for middle and high school students to experience our distinctive educational programs in a creative and unique way! We will host fun-filled weeks of camps and classes with offerings in outdoor adventures and skills, culinary arts, theater, art exploration, and more.
- All grades listed are the student's grade in Fall 2024.
- You do not have to be a Seabury student to attend. All are welcome!
- Campers will bring their own lunches and water bottles (snacks are provided).
Summer Camp by Week
Seabury Summer Strength Camp
- June 3-August 1 (no class July1-4)
- Monday - Thursday
- High School @ 8:30 am
- Middle School @ 9:30 am
Program will include Pre and Post Testing; Warm Up and Flexibility; Strength and Metabolic Training; and Injury/Pain Speific Exercises and Cueing.
Cost: $350 for 8 weeks - flexible scheduling. Payments may be done with cash, check, or Venmo.

Intro to Robotics
Grades 5-7
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am-11:00 am
Students will learn basic concepts of robotics and coding. This class is the first step towards Arduino or Vex robotics. Students will also learn programming concepts and be introduced to Python, a high level, general-purpose programming language. Min. enrollment 5.

Robotics II and Intro to Drones
Grades 8-12
Monday-Thursday, 1:00-3:00 pm
Next level of Robotics using Arduino to make a car. Use a C language to program in Arduino. Students will build a robotic car and learn about Arduino programming. Also, how to fly a small drone. Min. enrollment 5.

Advanced Farm to Table
Grades 8-12
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am-3:00 pm
Let’s learn about our local food sources and meet the folks who grow it. Mornings, we’ll tour local farms to find out what it takes to produce our produce! Our afternoons will be spent creating dishes inspired by local foods. We’ll see what’s growing in Ms. Czarnecki’s garden. Perhaps she’ll let us have a few things for our daily cooking. Each day, we’ll do our best to make simple delicious dishes from scratch. Min. enrollment 6.
Please bring your own lunch but be ready to taste our own creations!

Seabury Adventure Camp
Grades 6-8

Year 2 with new adventures! Join us for an unforgettable experience that celebrates the great outdoors this summer! Get ready for some amazing adventures! Spend your mornings with Eric Nelson and his team in the wilderness around Lawrence. Have fun canoeing, fishing, and exploring other activities in nature. Snacks provided.

Introduction to Woodworking
Grades 6-8

Join Seabury's Mr. Neuteboom for a fun and sun-filled class! During the Summer Woodworking camp, you will learn the fundamentals of safety, woodworking, sanding, and painting or staining. We will build a birdhouse, a garden table, and a pinewood derby car to race at the conclusion of camp. We will have an emphasis on hands-on learning, skill building, and craftsmanship! Min. enrollment 6.

Pedal, Paddle, Pickle & Picnic
Grades 6-8
Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am-Noon
Join this class for four days of fun. Learn the basics of mountain biking, how to maintain your bike, and then ride the beginner-friendly Lawrence River Trail. Next, learn the fundamentals of canoeing, including paddle strokes, T-Rescue and navigation. Next, spend a day learning how to play pickleball from basic strokes to strategy. To wrap up the week, we will have a picnic at a local park with fun outdoor games and swimming. Don’t miss this camp, it is going to be a blast! Snacks provided.

Farm to Table
Ages 9-14 yrs

Do you know where your food comes from? Have you ever tasted the difference between a tomato that was shipped hundreds of miles in January versus one picked from your school garden in July? This week we will visit some local gardens, farms and restaurants to learn about growing, harvesting, and preparing delicious locally-grown food. We will also be cooking and feasting on our own creations from local products in the Seabury culinary kitchen. If you have an interest in farming, gardening, and cooking in healthy and sustainable ways this is the camp for you. Gardening gloves and aprons provided :)

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)
No, you do not need to be a Seabury student to attend the camps.
Any prescription medications to be given during the camp day should be limited to antibiotics or ADD/ADHD medications. These will need to be checked in by a parent or guardian on the first day of camp and must be delivered in the original prescription bottle.
A parent or guardian will be contacted should your child require medical care other than routine first aid. In case of emergency, we will access 911 and contact the parent or guardian as soon as possible.
